Woodcraft Tip: Each tool company has it's own way of naming and keeping track of their tools from Stanley to Pfeil. Understanding the code of Pfeil Swiss Made Carving Tools is not that hard: "1-8" means it is a Chisel 8mm wide, "1S-8" means it is a Skew Chisel 8mm wide, "5-8" means it is a #5 Sweep 8mm wide, "7-14" means it is a #7 Sweep 14mm wide, "12-10" means it is a 60 degree V-Tool, "13-10" means it is a 90 degree V-Tool, "14-10" means it is a round bottom and 5 5 degree V-Tool, "15-10" means it is a 45 degree V-Tool. So as you can see it's not that bad.
